LPN/LVN Programs

Two of the most popular types of nursing programs are licensed practical nursing (LPN) programs and licensed vocational nursing (LVN) programs. These types of nursing programs are generally offered at technical schools, community colleges or nearby hospitals. Each program typically takes about a year to complete.

LPN-to-Associate Programs LPN-to-associate nursing programs are for students that are interested in becoming an entry-level registered nurse. These nursing programs include liberal arts courses, but many schools offer online options that will allow you to complete work at your convenience.

Associate of Science in Nursing Programs ADN types of nursing programs are for students pursuing their associate degree in nursing. These types of nursing programs are more geared for technical skills than theories. More than a quarter of ASN graduates go on to earn their BSN. These types of nursing programs typically take about two years.

LPN-to-BSN Programs LPN-to-BSN nursing programs are bridge programs that include a liberal arts education. If you complete one of these types of nursing programs, you will be eligible to become a registered nurse. You can finish one of these programs in four academic semesters if you are a full-time student.

BSN Programs BSN programs are one of the best types of nursing programs for those determined to enter the field. A BSN degree is lauded by both nursing leaders and employers. If you enroll in one of these programs, you can expect to spend about four years getting your education. Types of Nursing Programs: RN-to-BSN Programs RN-to-BSN programs are bridge programs for registered nurses that would like to get their BSN. These nursing programs can save both an incredible amount of time and money. These programs have flexible schedules and are also available online.
